Sundays Cylinder Head Seminar

We decided to drive straight through going home so we had to miss the seminar. Did anyone video it? I would love to see it.

Guys,

I mentioned during the Tech Seminar that we had some heavy hitters there. We started counting up the number of Engine Masters Challenge engine builders and we had Jon Kaase, Scotty Johnston, Mike Phillips, Adney Brown, Randy Malik and Dave McLain.

I appreciate all those that shared info with us and I thank Jon for bringing the IHRA Hemi heads and getting there in time for the Sunday morning seminar. I think Randy overheard Jon say he was having fun and wished he had been there for all three days. He said something about bringing his own personal pick-up truck that hadn't been out of the garage in over 10 years and coming back next year.

As long as we can maintain the family reunion atmosphere, the home away from home feeling, where everybody was helping everybody else out, it will succeed. Things like Texas Roadhouse catering the Friday night dinner for all of us, or the Bozelle's from Lousiana bringing up crawfish and having a tailgate party for everybody, or the fact that after the Grudge Match on Saturday night, when I went over and paid George and Wes the winner and runner-up money,,,, then George Keown turned around and gave money to Wes because they had decided to split the pot. Everybody was friendly towards each other and I think we all really appreciate it.

I especially want to thank Adney. Bobby Z. was pitted next to him and when Bobby pulled out of the pits, the side of his trailer hit the side of Adney's truck and did some damage. Bobby Z. was apologizing and was just sick about it and Adney was laid back and not upset at all. He just said accidents happen. They are both great guys with class and they got it worked out with no problems.

The down home atmosphere and good times we had in Kentucky won't soon be forgotten. It was just so cool to have so many good folks and fast cars get together, I hope it's can turn into a tradition that will continue for a long time.

Charlie summed it up well, it was a great event and everyone that was there helped create a great atmosphere where all were welcome. I am already looking forward to the next "BBF Family Reunion", hopefully with my Mustang next time.

Thanks to all of you I had the chance to talk with and everyone else that attended.

We bailed early Sunday AM too. It took us almost 14 hours to drive back to New Orleans. I sure hated missing the head seminar.

Oh well, there's always next year. I'm glad you guys enjoyed the crawfish. I enjoyed teaching all of the first timers how to peel 'em and eat 'em!

Most of all thanks for the motivation to get off my *** and get working on my car again..... With some luck I'll have it there next time...

Hey Ray,

I'm working on a DVD. I have over an hour of video now and hoping to get more in the near future. Donnie recorded most if not all of the Tech Seminar. He even borrowed a few Mini DV tapes from me. Turns out we have the exact same Digital Video Recorders

Guys I met and talked with a lot of people this weekend like Adney Brown, The Evans Twins :P All my buddies from Tennessee, Adam from Arizona, John from Lousiana, The Truck Pullers from Penn, Dave Freelander from NY and now Seatle, Scotty J etc.......... but I'll say this again, like I told Blake. Of all the people I talked with over the weekend I most enjoyed talking with Racin' Ray Henderson. Man you are something else! I can't wait until the next one :!:
