Hat's off to everyone at the BASH!!

Just dropping a quick line to all who attended the bash over the weekend. Normally I tend to just read the forums rather than reply or post but i couldn't help but put my .02 in over the hospitality and family-like atmosphere i witnessed at the track. Talk about class. We could not have felt more at home. Special thanks to Lem Evans for use of his distributor when mine sheared the roll pin. Although i have said it before I would like to thank my cousin Wes and Dave McLain for making the impossible possible by taking the 62 unibody truck from zero to 6.68 @ 100 in less than 1 month. Check's in the mail, right? Sorry to anybody who watched the google video of this project unfolding. Very humiliating. By the way: "it puts the lotion on the skin" is a reference to the movie "joe dirt" ops: . Just remember, all of us were tired, we were running short on sleep, the moon was full the night before, Wes fought the "saw" and the "saw" won (trying to chop his thumb off in chop saw ) etc., etc., etc. Anyways, it truly was an honor to have met you all and I look forward to seeing all of you again! -Shannon Littrell

Your truck is sublime

I really love short box unibodies.
If that thing wasn't so bad *** I would lament the cutting up of it.
As it is- its perfect.

Congrats on having a sweet truck!!!

THANKS GUYS FOR ALL OF THE KIND WORDS. TO THE CREDIT OF THE BBF, IT IS AMAZING THAT IT RUNS WHAT IT RUNS. I THINK THERE MAY EVEN BE A 6.5X PASS AND A HIGH 1.3X 60 FOOTER IN IT STILL. IT CUT A BEST 1.41 60 FOOT. I'VE GOT SOME CATCHING UP TO DO AT THE TRACK AS THIS MOTOR HAS OVER 200 DYNO PULLS ON IT AND I THINK IT MAY HAVE 13 OR 14 STRIP PASSES. ALMOST A 20 TO 1 RATIO. NOT BAD FOR A STOCK STROKED 11.8:1 IRON HEADED (HOME PORTED DOVES BY THE WAY) DYNO MULE. JUST GOES TO SHOW WHAT A GREAT ENGINE THIS IS. BY THE WAY GUYS, I STARTED TO PATCH ALL OF THE RUST HOLES BUT DECIDED TO QUIT WHEN THE TRUCK BECAME A BIG METAL QUILT!!! LET'S DO ALL OF THIS AGAIN!!! I CAN'T WAIT!!!! WE MIGHT HAVE ANOTHER CAR TO PULL TO THE TRACK SO THE NEXT TIME YOU SEE US WE COULD BE PULLING TRIPLES!!! CAN YOU SAY "JACK KNIFE!!!"? TALK TO YA LATER!

THAT SOUNDS FANTASTIC! I WOULD RATHER DRIVE 6 HOURS TO A TRACK IN KY THAN DRIVE 1 HR TO GATEWAY IN STLOUIS. THAT TRACK SUCKS. I WOULD LIKE TO SEE A BUNCH OF US MAYBE MEET HALFWAY OR SO OVER IN BENTON, IL THIS SUMMER. VERY GOOD TRACK, GOOD PEOPLE, JUST BRING YOUR GOOD BRAKES. NOT A LOT OF SHUTDOWN THERE. I DON'T KNOW, MAYBE WE CAN GET SOMETHING GOIN LATER DOWN THE LINE. LAST WEEKEND WAS HANDS DOWN THE BEST TIME I HAVE EVER HAD AT THE TRACK. I WISH WE COULD DO IT EVERY WEEKEND!!
