I may be showing ignorance, this may be something everybody knows about and I just have been living in my own world, but what the heck is relieving and centering the oil passages? Sounds pretty amazing, must be worth at least 50 hp. Wonder if he knows you only align bore a block if you're putting caps on it that don't line up close enough to hone. Cleaned up with a stock bore too, only got .015" clearance, should run fine... just kidding...

I just picked up a 460 With a D1VE block and D3VE heads complete with carb, distributor and accessory brackets. i paid $100.00 Canadian.
I must have gotten a good deal. :lol:

i sold a d1ve block complete, with d3 heads for less then that!

and i tossed in a set of dove heads (complete) for about the same money ...or was it 100 more or so.

That is not a bad deal at all, if it's a standard bore C9VE-B block (auction text says "1969 block"). I'd certainly take it if I lived closer. Just needs a little prep, that's all.
