Are we talking the units installed in your car, or a handheld one? I'm wondering because I actually use my handheld one when I hunt, but I bought some map software for it and I use it to find addresses, places to eat, etc., whenever I am travelling. I even used it to find possible places to rent when I visited Chattanooga before moving out here.

Just suggesting that if you want basic GPS functions, a handheld unit like my Garmin is more than enough.

I was talking about the kind you buy at Walmart or whoever and use in your car.

GPS

I've had good luck with Garmin and Lowrance.
If you want cheap go ebay,
Back in the day I paid $700 for the first handheld with moving map now you can find them for less than $70 used.
If you want new ditch Walmart and go Newegg

My friend has a Garmin Nuvi 360 and he loves it. It is small enough to be portable (around 3-4 hrs I think) yet has alot of cool features. I know my wife used it for two weeks during spring break and now we are getting one so.......

Also, the best price is ebay or ubid.

Life's journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid-in-sideways, totally worn out, shouting.."holy crap.... what a ride!"
