well guys i have to put off my 545 build and sell my stuff.

ive recently acquired some untimely bills that require me to sell my bb stuff. the good thing is that i have a bunch of stroker windsor stuff available to me so im building a 427 stroker. but, i will be building a big block in the future.

it will take me longer to get running with the big block. im limited on cash and i have most of the big stuff for the windsor already.

What rods are you using with the 427? If I recall that stroke in the 351W block limits you on cam selection, something about the rods hitting the cam...

im going with a 6.125 rod. from what ive read, aluminium rods have a cam clearancing problem.

yes they do i had that combo 4.0 inch stroke 4.125 bore in a 9.5 deck block i ran big nos aluminum rods and they had to be clearanced for the cam. i actually still have a set if you need a pair only 25 passes on them mgp 6.385's have one spare paid almost 1200 new last year, asking $400.00.
