Ford 7.3L PSD owners.....good news

Not a 385 series, but I know many of you own one of these trucks.

I've got an 01 F350 with the 7.3 diesel. I wouldn't trade it for a newer truck with the 6.0 or 6.4. I think most 7.3L owners (millions of em) would agree that these are better reliability wise than the newer ones.

One few weak points is the cam position sensor. They have been known to crap out in the middle of the road. Not hard to change if you have one, but still has a safety and agravation factor. I've not had any problems with mine, but had debated buying a spare to keep in the truck.

Good news from Ford today. A recall on all 1.17 million of them from 97-03 for a free cps replacement.

David I have a 2003 PSD and every time I go into a Dealership they come running and offer me almost above top dollar trade in for my Truck  I keep asking why and they say they can have it sold before I get the papers signed for the new one... one sales man said the have a waiting list most of the time and get calls everyday looking for the 7.3 PSD.

Makes me feel good

If you already paid to have this replaced, they usually refund $$ also under these recalls.
