MY F-150 is beckoning me to take it out on the ice for a run. Worst I ever had was I buryed my Toyota 4x4 in the medium up to the roof during a 14in snow storm, like hitting a big pillow at 50mph. Bring on the snow :!:

How do you Minnesota boys do it? It started snowing here yesterday, we have about oh, LOL, 2 inchs it is 34 during the day and 17 at night. My biggest problem is my feet, what do you do to keep them warm? Mine always feel like blocks of ice. No matter how many socks I put on.

I wish we got more snow down this way, we very seldom get a snow like I remember back in the 70's and early 80's. I love the late night snows, so I can get the 4X4 out and cut new tracks, the guessing where the side of the road is from the ditch is great. 8) As far as the cold, as I get older I am starting to handle it a little less.

David,

As I type this, right now it's about 8*F at my house... We had a couple inches of snow last week, but it warmed up enough to diminish what there was and then it cooled off again... I love winter, when we have it...

Tom C about 0 to 5 below I take off my flip flops and put on tennis shoes and socks, then when it starts getting nippy about 10 below we shut the windows, 15 below we turn on the heat 8) PS warm DRY socks and good boots. I've work in coolers most of my career. DRY is the key. no cotton socks if it's wet. You never get use to working in the cold. I've got a 2004 f-150 Lariat loaded and we have about 10 to 11in and it's going to be a good old Minnesota winter, maybe 70 to 80 in snow and it will get 15 to 25 below before it's over this winter you can just feel it. Where the hell is GOLBAL WARMING they promised me palm tree's in Minn. I'm waiting  Yea rub it in 75 and sunny it dosn't get like that in the dam summer

It is supposed to get to -18* here in N. Dak tonight. Just about right for ice fishing. Kinda nice,.... & you don''t have to bring ice for the beer cooler.

I will take your -10 personally especially over the 9 degrees and freezing rain we are getting tonight. Well that and I feel more comfortable when the temps are below zero then when at 30 degrees, most people don't believe me but -10 doesn't feel as cold as 30-40 does (it's cold enough to freeze the moisture out of the air, thus not feeling as cold is fact)

Your right that is the worst cold there is it doesnt go away, the sharp hard cold leaves as soon as you hit heat that wet, damp, freezing **** is tough and it seeps into your bones and you can't get warm.

No i've never fished Devils Lake. It's @ 120 miles away from here. With my F350 BBF it is cheaper to hit Sakakawea or Autobon. They are only @ 50 miles from here. Some perch, mostly Walleye, or an ocasional Monster Pike. Although the Beer tastes the same anywhere you fish. Mmmmm smoked Northern Pike,..... Makes me wonder what i'm doing sitting at the computer.
