world street nationals

Orlando Florida in October this year are having what they call world street nationals.
I have heard unofficially that one of our Aussie forum members is going to load his car and team, and give you guys a run.

I know it would cost a fortune to bring a car to the US from Aus. but it sure would be neat to see you Mates bring your iron to the Bash and race w/us. Rick

I want one.

Why don't they make such a thing in the states, dammit!

Even the factory base model looks like a really fun ride. Inline 6 turbo wagon with big brakes and suspension work producing 360hp factory. Very neat vehicle...would love to see Ford put that powertrain into something here.

yeah, I have two of the current models, family car is inline 6 15.8 1/4 and my work ute, 5.4 three valve, 14.8 1/4.
answer to earlier question, no we don't have a lot of 2 door options over here, actually we have only really had the choice of 2 mainstream v8's, and they are small block ford and holden (GM). It's funny to see our commodore's are so popular in prostock, 2 door GTO ponty.
to aswer another comment , bruno if you can't run in the 7sec bracket, don't put money on it ,
these are base models , here is my ute.

Nice rig!

I like it. I especially like the Kangaroo rammer mod, and the "it's coming right for us!" game blinding lights. Very cool.

Hey Mate
Steve does run a 598 BBF but it is run aspirated and has run well into the 8's but not in this car .
The ute pictured above is 383 clevo stroker ,factory clevo block,2x88mm turbonetics turbos has run up 1273 RWHP and it also has run 8.50's in testing. There is plenty left in it yet . It runs a powerglide and weighs approx 3800lb I have been involved in the build of this car so i feel am qualified to comment ..
