That's cool Lew... You'll have to wear something that will help us find you on the big screen... They're scheduled to have one in Denver on Aug. 9th. I'm gonna try and make that one if things go right...

Posted: Mon Jan 07, 2008 1:05 pm Post subject: etown pinks registration breakdown

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I would like to comment on a few things before I get started with the breakdown.

1. There is no good or easy way to register racers for Pinks All Out. When you consider the popularity of the show and the amount of racers we have in the area,is there a way to make it easy or fair? Maybe, this is what I went with.I'm willing to accept "internet bashing".It is part of life now in 2008.

2.Obviously some people figured it out. I tried to do it with a time stamp to give everyone a shot equally. There is no "PERFECT" way of doing this. This is a lottery! Should I have just let 1,000 cars show up........Oh,your number 401,Tough ****. Oh,you don't have good mufflers,Tough ****. You try to make it fair, and that's still not good enough. Maybe next time you can line up outside like cattle at our office in the snow.Like buying Hanna Montana tix.We didn't want to do it that way. That is why there was a few weeks for everyone to get set up.Even did it on a Sat.night so work wasn't involved.

3.Every one will be treated fairly! That's why there is a time stamp.I'm not picking and choosing.I could give two ****s who gets in,wins, etc. I',m sure there will be people who get in that I don't even like. Oh well, your one of the 400. I had to enforce rules given to me about certain racers being ineligable.People I like,People who work hard for RP and the sport.Rules are rules.

4.If you want a little breakdown............here it is.

12:01 time stamp 515 racers (You will be getting a call soon,be patient Pinks is not the only thing I do.)
12:02 time stamp 170 racers
12:03 time stamp 109 racers
12:04 time stamp 53 racers/847 total

too early 11:50-12:00 343 racers

If you have a 12:01 time stamp you will get a call about NHRA rules, mufflers, etc. I'm sorry we have noise restrictions,But we do.I live with it everday we are open. That is the reason behind this process.

After the phone process is done.Everyone will get a "thanks for playing" e-mail if you DNQ'd in the process.

5. Thanks everyone for attempting to get in to Pinks All Out. I tried my best to make it fair to get in.I'm sorry for all the people who don't have a computer. This is 2008,what can I say.

All I can say is I tried to make it fair.

W.P. from E-town

I am just gonna spray my junk a little and see if we can get it down into the low 10's.

Garage
My buddy made it for the Jersey All out. He has a tubbed green Montego with a 351 stroker and a big Procharger on it. He was the one having problems with his C4.

Holy Crap.......after a legnthy internet search for some info i finally contacted Infenion Raceway about the Sept 08 show that's scheduled there....

This i what i wrote, and this is what my response was..........

Hello....
Im intrested in competing in the Pinks All Out competition that's scheduled for Sept at your facility. I'm just requesting alittle more info on how to become a participant. Im having a hard time finding any info on how to register for the compitition....
Any info would be helpfull as i'd like to plan early. Thats assuming i was to be furtunate enough to be able to get on the show.

Thanks
Mike Eagy

Hi Mike,
Unfortunately we are already sold out for competitors with over 450 entries and have a waiting list thatís 50 deep so I doubt I am going to be able to get you in at this point. If you want I can put you on the waiting list but itís a longshot.

Sounds typical. SAR sold out in minutes - 400 was the limit. I had to work late (real late) and missed it big time. Red River took a little bit to sell out, but that's a tow so I didn't try. We did have two guys here get in at SAR. It's big - Wikipedia:
"In the June 29-30, 2007 taping of Pinks: All Out at Milan (MI) Dragway, 33,000 spectators attended the taping with 350 cars attempting to compete for the 16 slots"

That's pure cash flow just to watch 16 cars go at it. I don't know what the tracks cut is, but it's going to keep some of those tracks in the black. And that's a Good Thing.
