460 Tripower

Joe (AzFairlane) and I found this old Willys truck at a swap meet in San Diego last week, and Joe managed to get a picture of the engine. Talked to the guy about it, but then he figured out we weren't interested in actually buying the truck... lol

I am sure Joe will have more to add... I just posted it for him.

It did have FoMoCo cast into it under the carbs, and some numbers scribed near the front. I asked if it had been ported, he said it was as cast, and he rattled off something about it being 1 of 13 or so. Yeah, it was cool to see one, I have never seen one before either.

So how much was the whole truck?

Life's journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid-in-sideways, totally worn out, shouting.."holy crap.... what a ride!"

If I remember correct... it was around $12,500. It was relatively solid, but needed to be gone through completely unless you wanted a ratrod. I like some of the odd stuff is the reason I looked at it. I like to look at the uncompleted stuff too. For that money, I would have been happier putting a little more with it and getting the 40 Sedan Delivery that was there.
