New wheels for the convertible...
Got some new wheels for my '66 convertible today. I told my buddy to keep his eyes open for any good deals on wheels for my convertible, since it's got 14" steelies with bias ply tires now. I figure with some nice looking wheels and nicer tires it'd be easier to sell, and if it doesn't sell at least it will be nicer to drive.
So he found these:
Seemed like a good deal so since they were a couple blocks from his house he went to check 'em out and picked them up for me. Brings them over here and they were 14x6 and 14x7, not 15x7 and 15x8 as the ad says. So I'm a little disappointed but oh well, they'll fit and they are brand new, never had tires on 'em. One has a small scratch, but hardly noticeable.
So I think I'm gonna order some Firestone Indy 500 tires as I've heard they are stickier than the BFG Radial T/A that seems to be the trusty standby for classic cars.
