marine battery question

im needing some batteries for my boat 27ft baja, ive ran the expensive as hell crap warranty deep cycle marine batteries,i have a hard time justifing the 150-180 doller batteries with only a 12 month warranty.im used to the big motorcraft 875 batts that come with a 3-36 month free replacement on 100 pro rated ,id rather get these with a warranty than the deep cycle marine batts,i need 2 batts with the most cca avail, obviously its bang for the buck.

we always use the optima blue -- d31m --- 18 month repl. plus 18 month prorate ---- we do alot of audio rigging in boats anywhere from your small bass/console boats to all out triple motor consoles to cigaratte boats and we dont have any issues !!!! we also do alot of the stinger sp1000 in the yahmaha twin boats which they donot have and alt so the client has to charge them before the outing and they never complain about losing any juice for a full day of fun !!!!!!

most bang for the buck if you are deep cylcing them would be 2 6volt golf cart batterys they have the most reserve capacity

if you are just using it for starting the engine and not much else run your motorcraft batterys

Might consider a third battery for your sounds, and use the motorcrafts for main engine starting.

If you use a splitter in the alternator circuit, you can charge the main batts and the audio batt at the same time, but the audio batt won't drain into the main batts during start.

Nothing sux more than being cool on the lake, only to find out your batteries are dead when everyone is leaving the raft-up!

Good luck, bro!
