Well court is monday and im praying for the best

some of you may know, most may not. but i have been in a hell of a custody battle since july of last year. and at that point most of the progress on my car was made(stress forced me into the garage to get the rolling chassis together). well it been a long road and im not going out without a fight. CS here belives she abused him. but there is not enough evidence. well now its all going to be up to the judge. i sure hope they dont send him back to that evil C#@%.i have been all the doctor bills and sitter fees with no support at all. its been hard but we have made it this far. so i guess im asking everyone to keep us in there prayers sunday and hope for the best for my little boy

Sounds tough, but I guess that means you've gotta step up and be tough too. Best of luck!... but it's too bad it's coming down to a luck situation instead of proof.

If they can get you asking the wrong questions, they don't have to worry about answers.

Been through a divorice myself, and a single father. It is easy for two adults in a divorice to lose track of what the important things are..the chidren. Keep them #1

no divorce here. she burned him with a candle. they gave me tempory custody so and so forth. she has had him for the last 7 years and i was payying support and etc etc. hoping soon to get back on track. me and him both have been majorly stressed. my attonry bill is over 10k now and he is wanting a large chunk or he is dropping me. i have been more consirned with keeping as roof over his head and food in his tummy , and making sure he gets to the head shinker's. :? closer we get to go to court the more stressed i get , the less we both sleep and worry more and more. i guess we will just have to see how it goes.

this could continue for another month.

Be careful with kids and psychologists/psychiatrists. I think my evil ex step mom taking me to one regularly when I was young hurt far more than it helped (of course, I didn't need help, but she was trying to convince my dad that it was something other than her bitchy presence that was causing me to be somewhat distant from her).

That explains some of your problems LOL .. JK

All seriousness, I agree with Scott. Some of that stuff left alone for god/nature to take it's course is the best, I can understand some in place to keep things on track. So many times it is used as a tool to help court cases and fueds..thats why I said "it is about the child"

this kinda hits close to home for me
when i was 4 my parents got devorced
i lived with my mom for a short time
i wasnt happy and kept on running away to go be with my dad
they still lived in the same town

and my dad was going throu a custody battle to get me
i am shure it costed him all he had to get me
but i am thankfull every day he did
i dont have much to say about my mom but lets just say this
she has lived 30 miles from me since i was 5
and she never came and got me or called
i can rember me and dad driving throu town on day and i saw her in town. it was over a year since i saw her
i also rember over hearing my dad on the phone with her and asking her to please call and even stop by to see me but she never did
the only time i saw her was if my dad drove me to see her or my grand parents
she had the whole every other weekend vistataion with me but i guess she had beter things to do

i will admit it messed me up growing up comming to the reraliation that your own mother dosent care about you hurts like hell
and even at 28 i still battle with it but all it took was a fathers love
and i made it throu
i have been to counsling and ect
didi it help? heck no but i do rember it was nice to just talk about it and get it off my chest so maybe in some strange way it did

i hope the judge in your case listens to your kid cause that will and should help but dont give up and keep on praying and showing your kid love and that you are and always will be there for him no matter what
sorry for my rambling
may god be with you and your son
you are both in our paryers

Re Court

My son just left yesterday to visit his mom for the first time since coming to live with me. It sucks. And I'm not in the same boat with the abuse issue so I can't imagine how you feel. You are definitely in my prayers though. It's sad how much people use their kids as pawns in court. I came very close to going to jail the day my ex did that in court. If her lawyer was in the lawyers lounge when I stormed in there I probably would be typing this from some jail. God Bless you and yours.

If someone burned "my" son with a fricken candle, my bigest concern would be keeping myself out of jail after I beat her *** within an inch of her life.

I hope everything works out for you.

Best of luck to YA

Man my wife and I are foster parents. When we decided to do all this we thought it was going to be simple! What a shocker we were in for, we saw and herd of simular cases like this and I didn't think that I could go through with it! It's sad what people can do to defenseless kids. I do wish you the best and if your Lawyer has any compassion for you and your child he will work with you on this. The way I see it is that the child should be in the best place possible for he or she to grow and prossper. :? We did adopte the little boy who we have had since he was 3 days old, Awsome deal the week before X-mas last year. Like I told a friend of mine think the worst and hope for the best!! Wish you luck and hope it turns out in your favor.

You know what I find hard to get my head around and yet its sooo typical? The fact that your son was abused and your having to FIGHT to get custody. The courts are so slanted towards women its not funny. You can bet that all she would have to do is accuse you and thats it, thats all.Fathers rights kinda get pushed aside.

God bless
