Thanks to KY Mustang & Fordtek1

Got to give a big thanks to Randy (KY Mustang ) for selling me some new skins for my race car. Going to see how my baby likes some Hoosiers.

Also mounted up some new front skins to match.

I have to give out a big thank you to Rick (Fordtek1) for taking time out at his shop to mount & balance all four tires. I thought one slick was going to get the best of him, but Rick wore that sucker down & finally got it to seat..
I spent all afternoon cleaning front brakes, packing spindle bearings, mounting front tires & brakes, polishing rims & putting rim screws back in. Now next project is to get my Coan Big Dog PG in the car.. Always something...Anyway ...thanks again to Randy & Rick.

Yes we are in the some what near future. It is just so damn hot right now that I really don't have a strong desire. I am slowly getting the old girl ready. Let's see I still have to get the trans in, finish adjusting pinion angle & pre load on 4 link, adjust valves, fire motor & top off trans, buy some alky, buy new tire for trailer, get tags for dually ($220  ),go to the bash, pay off some medical bills & be able to pay Carroll Carter for the machine work that he is doing on my hemi stuff. So as you can see this is why it will probably be September before I run. But I will get out there. Got a few tricks that I want to try & see how the little pony likes them.

Awesome Chris.. In the next month I'm getting Hoosers as well.. What made you get the ones you have?? Price, dependability, service life, compound type.

Thanks,

Les

Les, I have always run Goodyears. They work great but they don't last very long. I have always heard that Hoosiers had a lot longer life span so I figured the only way to find out was to buy some. Just happened Randy bought the exact same tire I was planning on getting & decided he wanted to go back to Goodyears. He was sorting out his chassis & wanted to eliminate one varible so I bought them from him with 10 passes on them. So some KY skins have relocated to hot & humid eastern NC.
