Thanks Doug, I still have some more to do to the fuel system. I need a proper set of headers before I try any more tuning though.
Jon that converter is the bomb! My last run of the night was by far the best. I didn't have time to hook up the brake booster so it was mech brakes and I could only hold about 2-2500 on the line but it launched out of the hole like it was shot from a gun. I killed a very well built and tuned 496 Chebbie. Beat him like a red-headed step child. :lol: :lol: Only one guy was faster than me and that was a 1-2 foot deal. My exhaust sucked and the motor was nosing over at about 5200rpm. There is a lot left in the motor if I get a proper exhaust in it. The truck that beat me was the point champ truck from last year in the Mid States Stock class, so it is a real good consistent performer. 8)
A real big thanks to Lem for the advice yesterday on the fuel system. I am sorry to have to bother you like that, but I really appreciated what you did. 8)
