Anybody going to the NHRA race this weekend in Seattle??

I'm in town working and might stop by if I can manage a day off...

How far is the track from downtown?

Gotta work  Give yourself an hour and the earlier the better, traffic can be heavy even on the weekends...weather should be nice!

John,

From Seattle it is 30 -35 miles to the track. I'm going out all day Saturday, don't know what day you are going to try and go. Like Rick S. says go early, as HWY 18 is backed up from both directions of people trying to get in there. I only live about 7 miles from the track and I always go thru Auburn, up past the Green River College and then cross over HWY 18 to the entrance. It's alot faster then sitting along the shoulder of the road creeping along slowly.

Where are you working in Seattle, I'm going to be going to the Seattle Center for our sanction vote tomorrow morning?

Let me know what day your going out to the races, maybe we can meet somewhere and go in together. The gates open at 8:30, I'm planning on being out there a little before then, will be staying all day to watch the Sportsman class's run.

Rick

I wish I was kidding. The last two winters have been pretty bad, couple of my friends that have lived here 40+ years are moving. I guess I am a diehard mossback

Thanks for the info. I'm over here for work. We have one of our boats at Todd Shipyard for its required regulatory dry-docking.

It looks like I might be able to go on Sunday once we finish all of the work. I'll have to play it by ear and see though. It'll be a last minute decision for sure.

John,
If you do get to go either day, stop by any Shucks Auto Supply and grab a coupon off their check out counter, it is good for $8.00 off admission.
