Fair/recommended shop near Milford OH?

Looking to get a trans and two converters replaced on a 2005 F150 4x4 with the 5.4 and finding the initial estimates a little on the high side.
Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Jim

Not sure, seems the transmission shops are disappearing out this way and that is likely why the prices are high. We had two in my little area and both folded. There was a place in Owensville that was reasonable, you can always try them:

Are you living out this way now? I am not real far from Milford.

Thanks for the tips fellas, I'm still in PA. This was a company deal, otherwise I'd have done it myself. (one of my hats at work deals with the fleet).

Truth be told, I'd just as soon see the last of these trucks sold off. Aside from the tune up issues mentioned here, the lash adjusters seem to have a habit of failing and it seems the repairs have a equalkly disturbing habit of wreaking havoc on the rest of the engine..
