Congrats Dan!!

Saw the writeup in Car Craft on your dyno challenge win.. Can't imagine what the competitors were thinking.. 300 hp seperating the king from the also-rans....

Now we need a 1000 rwhp N/A bbf to take all-motor.. Anyone with a 650+" Boss or C headed motor running on E85 running around out there?

:-)

Dan,

That's awesome :!: I'm so proud of you. It still sounds like you had some rpm left in it. What rpm did you stop the pull at?

Great job,

Charlie Evans

Schmitty,

Generally the flywheel horsepower is 18% to 20% more than the rear wheel horsepower. The parasitic losses vary with such things as transmission, light weight internal parts, convertor, spool or posi unit and so on.

Hope this helps,

Charlie Evans

Great job,
Hi guys ...Thanks for the kind words...

Charlie, it was 7,100 rpm and the HP curve was flat, not gaining. The converter is to tight now and really pulling down the engine, I will loosen it in the spring.

Also that was at about 21 #'s of boost, I was shooting for 23 but I didn't have enough experience with the controller yet. On the local dyno we made 1,840 at 23#'s.

I took it to the track last fall and on a very slick track at very minimal boost we ran a 8:31 @ 170 mph. Here is my best pass and worst reaction time…It does spool really well for the converter being so tight. I am also getting allot of tire shake, In fact the last run ripped all the brackets in half on the rear end housing, I just finished a new chrome molly sheet metal housing for her.

Dan

Here is the only track run video I have, the car was in and out of tire shake and running very fat (because I had the alky spray on, turned it off and the car became very crisp and aggressive on just gas! lol).

There is sooo much left in it...just scratching the surface.
