I hate to ask, but... any Dodge diesel guys here?

I bought a 2004 Dodge 3500 4x4 and my neighbor has a grill guard off of a 2004 1500 2wd. Would that 1/2 ton 2wd grill guard fit on my 1 ton 4x4? I was also wondering about wheels. The truck I bought has chrome wider rims on it and I want stock rims. What year models interchange? On craigslist I see ads that say "will fit 2002-2005 dodge 3/4 and 1 tons" Will a 2006 rim fit my 2004? I love my Fords, but I would not buy a 6.0L or a 6.4L and I could not find any 7.3L with less than 125K miles and most were 1999-2002 models. At least it's American made

I'll try to help with my limited knowlege of the Dodge's. I don't know about the grill guard, you might just have to give it a try. I replaced my factory wheels with a set of aftermarket rims, and I think that the Dodge 8 bolt pattern goes quite a ways back. I still have the wheels I replaced.
