1965 Ford Falcon Going to run a 306 in it c6 trans. ? is 1/4 mile 28 inch tall tire.Motor shift at 6700 rpms. Will 488 gear be enough or go to 456.Or other option is I have a pair of 30 inch tall slicks which would bring the gear ratio to 457 area. Thanks Bob

The gear you need will be completely dependant on your engines horsepower and the weight of your vehicle.

The more horsepower you have the lower number gear you will be able to pull.
