has anyone put a 460 and c6 in a 96 ranger i know i have seen the older rangers on here just wondering about a 96 how much trouble going to look at one sometime this week if it stops raining long enough after work

All I am going to say after trying to just stuff in a 351 in my 96 is, "Good luck".

It was a bitch just getting that tinker toy in there. Now, if you want to take out the core support, you would be golden, I think. The rest of the swap, I believe, will be eerily similar to James' swap in his 88.

Sounds fun, I now a guy that put a 551 in a 94 not sure how much difference there is in those 2 years ut you know the difference in the 2 motors, but like you said there are guys droping 460's in to 80's models as far as size it should not be to much different, youl probally have to make your own K-member and motor mounts but if your a welding/fab man it should be easy
