Wheelstand Fun

After watching onebad555notch's troubles i thought i would post my wheelstand video from September last year in my 501 full chassis Capri (english model). Lucky for me i didn't do any damage except some minor dings and scrapes in the pipes which are still being used.

Also have a look at the incar shots, looks a bit smoother from inside. I did lift pull second and planted my foot again but still come down hard. Dont worry about the tall manifold aswell, it's now in the trash

You must have planned on showing off with that many cameras running.

Life's journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid-in-sideways, totally worn out, shouting.."holy crap.... what a ride!"

It's a bit of a tank with 1 1/2 by 3 box main rails. It was built in 1983. The exhaust hit cuz they hang so low but only pushed it up about 1/8 at the most and they were already damaged anyway, just slightly more now. The coil over shocks bottomed out and compressed the front tires heaps and the lower control arm mounts under the chassis rails (z style frame) and they just scraped. One front tire was going down 2 weeks later but is all good now. other then that no damage. Although the tie rod ends need replacing soon.

The car has been known for pulling the wheels up for a while so the local camera guys do line up for it if they can. But it was also a major meeting so there were plenty there anyway.

If you like camera flashes watch this incar vid from early January

Was the quickest the car has gone with the hat but two weeks later spun a bearing and then found more serious damage.
https://www.460ford.com/forum/showthr...rd+snout+short pics are at the bottom
We stuck a new bottom end in it and ran in April and found the tall manifold was making more problems then good so have replaced that and will make the first runs this weekend.
Hoping to put it atleast into the 8.70's

We still use a c4 so it's agressive and the diff gears are a little short which doesn't help and were chasing the wheelstands out with the suspension (old ladder bar setup) but it's definately a lot of fun to drive.

Moparman that is a wild wheelstand. my old man would kill me if i stayed in the gas that long
