turbo headers for BBF

Well im just looking at what you guys think been kicking around the ideal to start making turbos headers for the BBF.

(1) What are most of you using for motor plates / motor mounts?
(2) What is the most com. heads that you guys are running?
(3) What would you pay for a set of turbo headers?
(4) What body style and years would you like to see being made?

No Jokes please Im trying to offer a turbo header at a far price. All info welcome just no jokes Please. Jason

I'd say it more to the side of mounts. Probably more guys here with street machines vs/ full race cars..

$600 for good quality, good thick flanges,variety of turbo flanges available..

I honestly don't know who much water my answers would hold considering I screwed up and traded my BB car off for a SBF car.. BUT in light of always wanting another BBF Fox (or other Ford variant)...A set of TT BBF headers built for a Fox chassis would get me excited.

1990 GT, 347 / 76mm turbo setup OUT AND GONE!

New setup going in. Dove headed 545 with a plate kit to 400, progressive, Th400 etc. etc. etc.

I'm pretty sure lots of DIYers on the small blocks use shorty headers and just turn them around. A quality shorty for the BBF SCJ/P51 style that would serve both purposes may work well...

I'm also pretty sure that primary size isn't as critical on turbo headers because a bit smaller primary can assist in spooling the turbo....

I don't have one, but a Fox body is the obvious place to start.

Just my .02 cents! I like your intent and initiative though...the more products available for the BBF the better....good luck!!!

Just thinking here:

Does it matter how many turbos (single or twin) being run for header design?

Low mount or high?

Would you offer stainless only or steel too? Price would change for the two obviously.

Seems there might be quite a few variables and options to build an off the shelf turbo header?

X2 on the Fox as a start.

Sounds like a great idea, it might be good to have a standard header/turbo style and mounts.

Very true! I think people would definitely be willing to work around and modify their setups to accommodate an off-the-shelf turbo kit.

I know almost all the kits in street versions of the late model mustangs are just preman...and you would have to modify your current set up to use the kit.

Thank you guy for your input the first porotypes are going to be a foxbody with motor mounts and D3 heads.

Next porotypes are going to be foxbody with motorplates.

You are right on the price with the dif headers im looking at a steel header for now and most likey a twin front high mount and then look at single set ups.

Its VERY smart to do your research!! The more planning you do up front, the better it goes later.

I have the FRPP swap mounts but I would think that most with Hooker headers now would have Hooker mounts. D&D has a big following too.

Could you run headers that would go on top of (above) side mounts and just under a front plate? That would be one less model!!

I sure wish I could be your first customer!!! I would love to have a turbo set up.

Yep, its a member of the Fox family too, just a couple of inches longer wheel base.

I think it was Jones that was playing around with a pair of D&D shorty headers mounted backwards for his turbo build. He had a front motor plate at the time.

Yep, what pics do you need?

I am running Edelbrock heads with Hooker headers and K memeber spacers. I run a 93 Mustang Cobra booster on my master cylinder.
