Does any one know how much an orignal AC Cobra cost in the 60"s?

Cool cobras

i think the original bodies were aluminum. one reason they're hard to find. they just disappeared. i've heard there's a place in georgia now that has some of the original dies that are making aluminum bodies again. that would be about as close as you could get to an original. still are expensive. BUT WHAT A GREAT CAR!!!

Im not lookn to buy one, my Dad and I were talkn about them and he said they cost around 3500.00 new and I thought that sounded a little cheap even for the sixties.

When I bought my 65, in Sept '64, it was $6300.00 including tax and license. Had to buy it thru a dealer but picked it up at Shelby's factory in Venice, CA.
