I have a 500 HO Polaris and it kicks ***. I wouldn't ever need anything more than the 500 single. The 800 is a twin and is too loud for all day riding IMO.

fit and finish on the can am is far superior to the polaris

hp and torque is much better with the can am as well at lower rpms

polaris is a nice machine but the can am is a better machine, it may be a bit more but worth it....the main reason why there alot more polaris's is due to the fact they have been out longer, more available styles of bikes and one hell of payment plans, but, can am has caught up...you get what you pay for

I have an outlander 800. very powerful, except it already needs a timing chain.

the polaris bikes are pretty heavy too. at least they were.

I say Can Am even still. Mine has had a hard life

I have an '06 Outlander 800. It is the SHIZNIT!! All my buddys have new Grizzly 700's, Arctic cat 700s and H1's and Polaris 700 and 850's None of them will even come close in the acceleration department. But it all depends what you want to do with your bike. I really liked the 4wd system on the Polaris 500 sportsman i had. True 4wd when you wanted it. No locker or clutch in the diff on that setup. But I still say Can Am.

I have the 06 800 Outlander XT.Best bang for the buck. Not a better 4 wheeler on the market.Becareful though,if this is your first quad or you are not familiar with ATV's...this ones powerfull.Power and torque is unbeleiveable.

These 800's lift the front tires off the ground when hammering the throttle.

i had the polaris razor and it was a fun fast toy i had no problems with it. my brother got the can-am with a lift kit on it and he keeps braking axles but it been a good 4 wheelier other than that . i had a polaris before and it was a piece of ****. this new one was alot better than the first 1. the 1 my brother has is the 2 seater 1 and it long hard to move around some of the trails we ride on

x2.

They dont make good plow quads though. Too big, Too powerful. Its making short work of my kimpex blade, kinda starting to resemble a U after one season. (we do get lots of snow here though)

there is a 800 outlander just down the road. it is used. has 285 miles on it. some damage on the left front corner. but it isnt bad and i am not that picky. the used canam is asking 7000 and i am offering 6000 firm. a new 850 polaris is around 9500 i think.
we shall see what he thinks of my offer for 6grand i guess.thanks. kyle
