Soon to have a 460...

As well as running my 460 powered Front Engine Dragster, the team are looking to bring a UK Humber Hawk that used to run in super gas in the late 80's back to the track. Of course we know it needs a 460 ;-). The 460 will be pretty mild to begin with (max i would think 400-450 hp + nitrous).

We may be looking for help and advice in the not too distant future... currently the car has no rear suspension or back axle so we will need to build and fit a 4 Link (weve never done that before ;-) ).

The car is very light with lots of fibreglass parts, the floor has all been cut out and the rear end is already tubbed. We want to get the car into the 11's as a minimum. Currently the engine build looks like.

Stock rods shot peened and race prepped.
Stock pistons.
Dove C heads (possibly ported) - although i do have a set of fully ported D3VE heads too (but compression would be too low with the stock pistons).
Weiand stealth manifold
Lunati bracketmaster cam
750 holley (think its a 750).

C6 Box, manual valve body, 3500 stall.

The car must have been chevy powered in a previous guise... When we brought it it had a 403 olds in it with 455 olds heads... but were planning on changing it to big block ford power!

OK, well, another change of plan... Ive brought a new 545 stroker (with forged rods / pistons) for my slingshot, so my dad is having my old 528 setup for this... estimating around 500hp.
