Angry bowhunting blues

Man its my 2nd season of actually hunting hard, being out in the woods every mornin and the past 2 weekends and so far I missed 3 does and a buck this year. Talk about feeling dumb. Anybody else shoot anything yet? Anyone want 2 buy a 1987 bow that isn't very consistant? LOL!

My mid 80's Bear Magnum Hunter is consistant, the problem is it is too long to shoot from sitting down in a tent blind. I stalked a nice doe the other week and got within 25yds, pulled the sting back and the dang center slider fell off the rail causing my string to twang and the arrow went straight up almost hitting me in the head on the way back down. I almost threw the bow into the brush after that! But I fixed the slider, went back a few days later and got the same doe I stalked!

Talking

yeah that MN buck is massive!! im just glad these deer were not big bastards. my bow is a INTERMEDE , or at least that is what its says on it, not really sure what year but my older brother thinks 87 ish. too short of a draw and maxed out a 50 pounds. gonna buy me a new in spring. the rest is just a felt springy looking do-dat. was sitting to close and rubbing on my vain during release. gave her a little bend to fix. the sight is the factory pin style also. ill be glad to upgrade to the brighter ones later! i did learn that i should have ALL my thunderheads facing the same way i sighted it in ie: one blade straight down and the others on the sides vs one on the top . after my first post i missed another at about 17 steps , saw it eating just outside the cabin, so i went outside and behind the cabin and shot, 1/4 away just a hair under, all i got was some white hair, no blood. just pissed so im done for the season till i get a new bow and a membership at the archery range. mabey sit one more time while i get other gun stands set up.
