Tom Cruise Owns A P51 Mustang?

I didn't know that he was really a flyer but I saw something about how he owns at least one of those aircraft, wow, that's pretty cool...

Smile

Yeah, only the earliest P51 Mustangs had Allison engines, they were almost the downfall of the plane as the Allison's just couldn't perform very well at higher altitudes. Someone had the fore thought to fit a Rolls Royce Merlin to the airframe, and the rest is history. As a side note most of the Merlins that were put into P51 Mustangs were license built here in the good old USA by Packard. Just my 2 cents

So you're saying if it has the Allison he probably wouldn't mind. Excellent.

celeb planes

John Travolta has quite a few planes, including a British military jet, and he's rated to fly 747's, and has flown commercial flights for a Aussy airline.
