Buddy just ran his car and went [email protected]/8

I helped him find parts over 3 yrs and alot of motor parts came used from you guys here. Hes got a 466 with tRW domes , eagle i-beams, little comp solid 251-602lift,dove heads with 2.24I 1.74E and alot of porting, portasonic intake opened up some and 850 holley, c4 tanny with a $100 factory modified c4 converter. IT was 85 degrees and bad air today, i see with a converter change and tuning in good air 6.40s- 6.50s doable. It was in a 88 foxbody with the scoop not functionable yet. I have to say the more i am around these BBF the more i respect them. First cooler day we have i am taking mine, i sure hope for the same kind of luck.., ED

Running over 100mph in the 1/8th mile is not easy and I think you guys did a really good job with very modest parts.

Thanks, I was afraid the small cam would kill MPH, He gets some good air and put some bigger squirters in it so it wont hesitate leaving at a lower idle, should be worth some decent gains.

466 went 6.49 at 106mph

466 went 6.49 at 106 with a poor 1.43 60ft. I see it going some 30s later with a sticky track and new slicks.

loves PTC converters

After being asked over and over lol, I sold my backup converter to him and he loves it . Its a 8 PTC 4800. I think it should go 1.38 60 ft. when he get new slick , his dont have any drill marks left and are about 10 yrs. old. This should put him at low 6.40s to high 6.30s. I might sell him my roler cam since its was for a 466 origanally. I having as much fun watching his car success as much as running mine.

change

A few things that all added up. The 8 inch PTC made a huge differance. He pulled out about 100lbs from car and added air pan to carb, locked out the distibuter and got some really good air with good 60ft times. He will need more power now to go much quicker, solid roller would help over the small Flat tap.
