re harley trip

Hi Bob, josi was only saying to me the other day "I wonder how that handsome fella Bob is"!! we are definitely having a Vegas trip next Aug time so will be planning to start or finish in SF, will be good to get together with the west coast crowd. currently in Missoula MT, got wet first couple of hours today but the weather was fine later, we stayed at a beautiful Inn in the Montana backwoods last night, the owner said the bear would come down in the evening which he did, got some great photos from only 3 ft away whilst he was on the porch. When I checked the bike before setting off this morning there was a paw print on the seat and a puncture where a claw had gone through!! I took some photos but I bet the rental company wont believe how it happened!!! Dave & Josi

Dave, Let us know when you and Josi are going to be in the S.F. Bay Area or close by and we can get together again for dinner. It would be great to see you two again. Would love to see some of the pics you've taken of your trips. Maybe Paul and I can round up some more forum members for a get-together......Matt?...You out there?

Harley Trip update

Bob, will let you know dates etc, would be good to grab dinner, only thing I can say right now is that josi has booked to see Celine Dion in Vegas on 13 Aug, so the trip will be based around that date. Currently in Ketchum Idaho, stayed overnight near Salmon Id, there was a storm in the night but the drive today was great albeit cool, the sky is blue just now and will be heading over the scenic route to Boise tomorrow, will post some photos on return. Take care. Dave & Josi

Dave and Josi,

Sounds like you're both having a great time. The bear paw print/claw piercing the seat of the bike is hilarious! Hope any added costs for the bike rental are worth being able to tell such a story.

I'm back from Bonnevile, back in the grind, wish we could visit, maybe next time; have a great time.

Dang it, I wasn't paying attention and missed you by a day or so. I'm not
quite an hour from Ketchum. I'd have bought lunch! Hope you liked the
scenery from Boise to McCall, neat road (albeit a twisty one). Sounds like
you're havin' a good time, be safe Dave.

Re Harley trip

Hi Guys, got back safe, handed the bike back with no drama re the seat, the story about the bear was found amusing by the rental guy. Spent the last night up at the Tulalip Resort and casino so the wife could do the obligatory shopping!! the trip was great, the weather was a bit like England at times!! but already planning next years, attached a couple of phots. I called in to the Idaho State Vets cemetary to say hello to Capt Ed Freeman, after I had read about the guy I promised myself I would, one Hell of a Guy!! Dave
