I'm a Big time archery hunter.

I'm an over the top hardcore bow hunter! I hunt EVERYTHING with a bow, including rabbits. Shoot a 2008 Mathews DXT. Tagged out this year with a decent 8 pointer, that was October 19th in Warsaw, Missouri. Usually hunt north Missouri and the rut is on hardcore here. Gonna go for another buck with my bow during firearms season. Chris

Here in Missouri when you buy an archery tag, it is for two deer and two turkeys. You are allowed one buck before firearms season, and another after. To archery hunt during firearms season, you have to purchase a firearms tag, which is good for a buck or doe. I attached a pic of my 12 pointer last year. Chris

nice! i wish i could go to another state to hunt but guided hunts seem like they'd be a little boring in a way like they sit you somewhere and you shoot the big one they know will come out. kinda like shootin one in an enclosed fence.. and theyre crazy expensive.
pennsylvania has some monsters to i guess but 99% of property is posted and the 1% that isnt well, thats where every other yuppy hunts.

up here you buy a buck tag and have to send in to apply for a doe tag. so at most you get 1 of each.

eh.. The only thing I could ever see myself hunting is people. They're the ones that I have a problem with. Can't say I've ever felt the same way about animals. Stupid laws

I'm not a hunter but there are a LOT of deer in this area. I had one cross the road in front of me on the way home from work a couple of days ago. It seems like getting a good shot at a deer with a bow would be tough but getting a turkey, wow! I know a couple of guys who have shot birds but only after about 2 seasons worth of sitting in the woods. They deserved to get one!

Shooting a turkey with a bow is almost impossible, especially if you are up in a tree stand. They will bust you almost every time when you are trying to get drawn for a shot, seems that they are always looking up for predators. I got a shot at one once but misjudged the distance, still alot of fun! Chris

a little tip for not being spotted, get a decoy and tie a string to it. run the string to the bottom of your stand and up to your foot. pull it tight so you only have to move your foot a little bit.

ive been a bow hunter for close to twenty years and love every minute of it. havent got one this year yet, the rut just got goin a couple weeks ago and the bucks are chasin does so hard you cant get their attention.
but here is a few from the last three years.

and my half monster

i probly wouldnt of shot him if i saw the broken rack, but i was stalking and he came out of nowhere and it was a quick shot. ive got a pic of a BIG body deer that i cant find right now but he was 244lb after being feild dressed, not a big rack tho.

drove my chevy to the levi and i pushed right in
