460 to c4 adapter kit

I would like to run a c4 behind a 460 in the maverick so I don't have to redo the trans tunnel. The only ones I have found they want $700 for the adapter kit.

What you need to find is a pan fill C-4 and find a 351M bellhousing for it.I have a C-4 behind my 460 and it came out of a 1978 LTDII with a 351M that i had.

Later Mark.

I forgot to mention years ago Performance Automatic used to sell the 351M bellhousing that bolts up to the 460 for $150.00.I don't know if they still sell them or not,i seen one on here or the 429-460 site a while back for sale.

Later Mark.

The 302-351W C-4 T.C. has the same crank pilot hub as the 460 crank.
I would think a C-6 flexplate on a 460 would have the same bolt pattern as the C-4 convertor.

I found this interesting....use a C-6 convertor on a C-4 26 slpine input :
