dropped a bold down the water jacket 8 (

Hi. I was helping a friend take his 460 apart when I droped a bolt down into the port where the water pump bolts to the block........... the block was sitting on the flywheel end.. crap..how far well it have fallen? tiried to look thru a head water port and in the hole and coulding see it anywhere... help please...

What size of bolt?

Can you turn the engine upside down?

I've got a brass freeze plug somewhere inside mine. Fell in while getting the block ready to go to the machine shop....Rotated the block every which way I could, felt around the best I could, and eventually just gave up and accepted it was going to live in there forever. Been driving it for a year with no issues. You should be fine.
