Newb in AZ

Just wanted to say hey, and introduce myself...

Name is AJ, and I am here as I have a new edge(2001) mustang that I am just about to get started building a 460 for it, hoping for about 550HP on 91 octane...will be a drag car, streetable at the moment but just barely with the 4.56 gears and full spool in the rearend.

I also have a 2000 F250 7.3l manual, and a 2013 Mustang GT manual

Still looking to acquire a block to start with but have a line on a D1VE-6015-A2B block...any guidance or help is always appreciated as this will be my first full engine build.

Welcome to the forum

please look into all the archives in engine tech and post your tech questions there as it will have more responses...
The build archives will also give you some direction.

Tag and ins it's a street car, how it gets there does it really matter?

Nobody's perfect but if u drive a ford your darn close.

Right off the top, unless you're planning on running 1/8th mile or you're going to run some 44" sized tires or spin that motor to 9K, your tail gears will be way low for a 550 horse low RPM motor. Probably in the 3.90 or 4.10/4.11 range would be better.....especially with a 28"ish tall tire.
.....And welcome.
