Bill of sale

How hard would it be to get a car titled that's sold with a bill of sale only? The car is a drag car but I would like to drive it on the street every now and then. The guy bought it from a junk yard and didn't want to pay the extra cash to plate it. Can it be done now? The vin is still in tact. Just wondering thanks!

Depends entirely on your state. Generally, your local DMV can give you a list of hoops to jump through. I did it once, and don't plan to ever do it again. Also, keep in mind that if the VIN comes back as stolen, you'll lose the car and have no recourse for reimbursement.

I used Broadway Title out of Alabama for my 1934 Ford Truck. Worked for me.
