How to ID Boss 302 Mustang

Looked at a few cars yesterday. Guy has a lot of stuff, including a '69 or '70 Mustang fastback with Boss 302 decals/stripes. No engine, but looks like it came with a floor shift auto. Now green but looks like original color was orange. Has a 9". Anyway, does anyone know how can I tell if it was an original Boss 302?

Thanks!

Scott

Ok, answered my own question. The V.I.N. should have the letter "G" in the fifth position. More info here - http://www.boss302.com/buying.htm
