Valve Cover T-Handles for Ford Racing Valve Covers

Ran into a small problem when racing over the weekend.

The T-handles that hold my valve covers down keep vibrating loose. I have the studs lock tited into the heads so that they are flush with the intake port, A429 Aluminum CJ heads by the way.

So what's the trick to keep these things from coming loose? Small lock washers? Loctite? Throw them away and use allen bolts?

Small pieces of rubber hose connecting one T to the other works good if the hose fits tight.

Damon, I used 1'' long 1/4 allen head with 3/16 flat washer. you had to screw flat on the allen, has stayed tight so far, there is room for a lock if need be, the gaskets I use are earl's they are kind of thick, Ed
