Why is when you call....

and ask a manufacturer about there product to fit your application they say something like. "Sir we don't show our product fitting your vehicle "....

I'm trying to find some drag shocks to fit my 79 f150. Well I though I found some lakewoods that would work. So I email Lakewood and they tell me that they don't offer shocks for my truck. That wasn't even my question! I wanted to know how the Lakewood shock I picked out might compare to the Oe replacment fitment specs.

I gave them all of my extended length, compressed, and ride height numbers. Also gave them what style ends. Socket on the bottom and stud on top. I just wanted to know if they could find me a 90/10 and 50/50 that would compare to the numbers. Instead they look at the vehicle model and just say "No, we don't offer for that vehicle "!

I found some HAL that match numbers but they are $277 a piece. Compared to $72.00. The hal are a just nicer piece than I'm looking for.

I will have to say I'm suppose to call Koni back today and see if they migh have anything.

Does anyone know of someone that might could help me out?

I called Koni and they said that they have all the info they would need and will get back to me at the end of the day! I hope they really work out for me.

I know EXACTLY what you mean. I had previously shopped around for some for my '78 4X4 to mudrace with. Their are several applications out there for stiffer suspensions, lift kits, and lowering kits, but I have yet to find any for weight transfering for racing applications. I had also ran across the HAL's, but they are like you said kinda pricey. There is definately a market there, we just need a manufactuer to pick up on it.

4x4? Possibly just get a set of the adjustable Ranchos as a compromise...I'm sure they have them in stock.

Why dont they show it fitting your vehicle?? Because, dont you know that all speed parts are made to fit 1969 Camaro's first, then everything else later?? :P

As the world turns...I get more dizzy!
