Scaling a car

Is +/- 20 lbf good enough accurracy to scale a car. Also, how level does the car need to be +/- 1/4", 1/8" or 1/16"

I got a new toy at the local swapmeet. Did I pay too much $150

Tried a set of scales like those years ago they were not acurate enough for the oval track cars I was working on.A 1/4'' will make about 10lbs differents in corner wieghts.I always marked the shop floor and put the same scale under the same tire each week.If you can make them repeat establish a baseline and adjust from there.
