I got the (MSD Steel Distributor Gears 85834) as recommended by Bill Price. He said it would be the right one for my cam sync I bought from him with the 460.... Hopefully no error was made? I bought it through summit racing. Summits description shows "Distributor Gear, Steel, .531 in. Diameter Shaft, Ford, 351C/351M/400/429/460, Each"

1989 Wagoneer, Custom 460 Install, Fuel Injection Conversion, 4 Barrel EFI Intake, CNG Conversion, NV4500 5 Speed Manual, NP205 Trasfer Case, Mustang A9L computer, Work in progress.

oops disregard the summit description from the last post... The one I bought says that it is (Distributor Gear, Steel, Roll Pin Included, .531 in. Diameter Shaft, Ford, 5.0, 5.8L, Each) it was the part number bill recommended though... He said it was the same gear that a 460 uses even though the description was not for a 460??

what is the difference between the two gears??? Maybe bill didn't realize I was needing the gear I noticed he sells cam sync's for both the 460 and the Windsor.

351 C, M and 400 as well as the 460 use a larger in diameter distributor gear.

Get the correct one and inspect the cam's distributor drive gear for damage.

Bill makes some amazing stuff, I like his tall 460 valve covers, gives the sleeper look
