took pulling truck to drag strip

i took my 1977 ford f250 4x4 to the 1/4 mile drag strip and ran a 12.80 with a 5800lb truck
truck specs are 10.3cr 521 with ported dove c heads and a 650 lift solid roller cam and a victor jr and 1050 dominator
c6 transmission with manual valve body and 2800 stall
4.56 gears with 28in slicks

next year im going to have the heads ported some more and put a bigger cam in it and roller cam bearings and have the transmisson rebuilt and have roller thrust bearings intalled in it and new stall
so maybe it will run 12.50 or 12.60

I never raced any imports but I have raced a 2007 duramax with a PPG programer and a 1989 5.0 mustang and beat them both

Try 2 figure out what size slick 2 put on it 4 next year. The 28 I had on it look 2 small and turned the engine out of my power band. I'm planning on raising the power band 2 6800 next year and thinking on putting on 30x14 slicks on it

I'm planning on running my truck at the pink's all out in St. louis in june. Maybe they will show it on tv
