need to run mid 9's

what is the best way to go about this....I am new to the big block thing..always ran a small block but got the itch for something diff....The car is a stock suspension 93 hatch with all the good stuff..as of know with the small block and driver it comes in @ 2940 with me in it.... What am I looking at with a big block...I would like to see mid 9's on motor and well into the 8's with the bottle...thanks any input would be great....will also be running a glide for a trans..
