528CID 12.5 to 1 with Ported P51 Heads

This is a Victor manifold engine going in a 19ft hydro, play toy. I don't think it did to bad for a conservative build. 2.250 Intake valve, 1.73 stud Mount rocker, Straub Solid roller Custom Cam, 30 degrees timing, 2.25" Dyno Headers

819HP at 6700 RPM
717#/ft at 4900 RPM

660#/ft at 4400 rpm
660#/ft at 6500 rpm

This has been a 2.5 year project. My mine doesn't remember that far back. It wasnt' huge. It's a pleasure boat so not only does it have to run, it has to last.

Heads are clean up but it is a boat and will only be spun to 6500 to 6800 max. No need to make power any higher.

Nice Build

Very impressive for a "conservitive" build! Man those heads make damn good power. Was it just a mild 'clean-up' on the castings or some serious porting?
