Talking 557 build advice

im new here and looking for some advice on my 557 stroker build
its going in a 93 foxbody hatch, stock k member, will be driven on the street once a month for the local car show other than that, track car.
running 28" tall tire with 373 gears possibly upgrading to 410
2 speed bracket glide with 1.76 final

DOVE block. bored, align honed, vatted, new freeze plugs, cam bearings, "0" decked, machined for 4 bolt main caps

trickflow a 460 heads from summit racing. i believe 83 cc chamber, probe -18.5cc forged dish pistons (with valve reliefs), forged 4.5" stroke crank, forged H beam rods, comp cams double roller timing chain
custom grind solid lift roller cam 721/721 lift 285/285 duration @50
107 lobe seperation.
A460 port matched intake, holley 1050 dominator.
ALL msd 6al ignition
may possibly see some race fuel in the future but want to run pump for now
may also run nos later

just curious if anyone sees any potential problems or had any advice from similar stroker builds.
motor plate or motor mounts? torque convertor stall size?
head studs or bolts?
thanks

also looking for some headers, d&d auto is the only place ive found them

Cam research out of Colorado. Had a friend use one of their cams with great results. What is wrong about it and what should I be looking for?

in general, BBF's like more exhaust duration than intake thats whats wrong with your cam, and it looks like you just went through the summit book and just picked out some stuff, no offence to you but when building a engine it takes a lot more info than just engine info like whats it going in and what will it be used for??? Drag Racing, Truck Pulling, Mud Racing, Boat Racing, lots of different ways and combos, give us some more info on what you are trying to do??? and there are a bunch of professional engine builders on this forum that have built engines to compete in the engine masters challenges and have wone, so with that said give more info and lets see how they respond. sorry for going on like that, It did not sink in what you were doing with it, I reread it and the 1.76 powerglide is the low gear in it not the final gear!!!!!!!!

Like my first post said, I'm gonna drive it once a month on the street and other than that it's gonna be a 1/4 mile car. I've been researching this for almost a year to the best of my ability, sorry my knowledge isn't as much as yours. And the only thing I bought from summit was the oil pan and the heads just for clarification
Bob 460 any more info?

In my opinion and only my opinion, unless the rules dictate a stock K-member,I would use a tubular K-member kit( I use UPR) with a motor plate and electric water pump and fan.(cooling between rounds). MrScharf's 1993 Foxbody Notch might be a thread to read if you haven't already.

I think you better check your pistons. A heads require different valve reliefs then what those probes should have. Motor plate better way to go and leaves more room for headers. Some ARP head bolts be fine.

For those who do not know Cam Research is Scott Main who been doing BBF and fords in general for a long time. He also has been in engine masters a few times. I'd suggest to the OP to talk to him about the cam and build to make sure the cam is correct for your application.

I'd like to also point out an A head is a different deal than a std or CJ head and some have very good exhaust ports. Finally the only guy that comes on here that won engine masters is Jon Kaase and he very rarely comes on here any more, besides who gives a darn about engine masters, is all about selling magazines anyway.

To OP, guy in the auction block selling some headers you may be interested in. Don't know the guy or anything about what he is selling.

I had Scott Main do a cam/spring package about 15 years ago for a 302/C4 combo in my CJ-7. He spec'd a perfect cam for me. Still running strong 15 yrs. and lots of abuse later. Like many of the specialists on here, he knows what he is doing.
