Cool

Welcome.

We just did a build for a 1973 Thunderbird which made 515 pound feet @ 3,300 rpm and 425 HP at 5000 rpm.

9.75 to 1 c/r. Performer intake. 750 holley. 219/227 voodoo cam. C9 heads with mild bowl work intake and a bit more on the exhaust.

Here is a link to the build and what was done. Perfect for a heavyweight car or truck. Copy it and your Lincoln will rock !!!

https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?...2102769&type=3

Same combo with an RPM intake will make 445 to 455 HP

You would be far better off if you listened to The Mad Porter and please quit using all CAPITOL letters when you type. Thank you and welcome aboard.

Welcome from Raleigh.

I just went thru the process of selecting parts to build a 460 stroker with not a lot of experience building performance engines. I think you're taking advice from too many people and that you'd do better to pick one 460 expert and follow his advice. There are several on here, just do some reading and pick one.

If you buy your parts from one of the 460 experts, you'll probably be able to get good answers to the dozen or so questions you'll have in the build process. That's how it worked for me. I bought the parts from Carl at carsbycarl.com and got his expert advice and answers that really helped me in the build. He'd not only give me the answers but was very helpful in explaining WHY certain parts were preferred before I laid out $1000s.

When you know what your objectives are, call an expert and see how the conversation goes. If you're not comfortable with your interactions with the expert, call another.

Good luck with your build.

Haaay vonfeltz68! I quoted this post because to me its a brilliant one. You simply and intelligently explained your spelling errors ,While I on the other hand usually use the more up-front and humorous approach of telling those who complain about my spelling or grammatical errors to simply F#@K OFF.
Needless to say, I'm no J. Christ with a torque wrench nor have I recently built a 460 based engine in which to propel a craft deep into outer space like others or anything like that. But I have d!c#ed around with a few BB Fords in my time.

Most important question I can think of here is ,What is your intended budget?

If you have recently hit the lottery or have a boat load of money to blow then definitely go titanium ,aluminum ,forged everything ,get everything new and the best and Have a competent builder to build your engine and you are good to go.
However if you are only looking for 400 or so HP and great tq, you wont need the alum heads, forged or titanium anything, and it shouldn't cost you a small fortune either. Sounds like a slightly warmed over and worked engine would make those numbers with no problem.

In closing, I'd say Good Luck with your build vonfeltz68, I wish you the best. However if it were me, I'D TURN THE CAPS BACK ON AND TELL EM if they have a problem with comprehending or communicating , SUCK IT! (That's why I have all the friends on here, ha-ha)
