The performer is not much taller than a stock intake. That should work.

Garage
intake ?s

I have a 69 continental and just recently put a eddy 750 on not sure what your going with for a carb but on the d3ve intake i have in the car. I added a 1" heat spacer between the carb and intake (of course). And with this set up my stock air cleaner just barely hits the hood on mine. So i would guess u could have about a 1 inch rise on the intake from stock and still be ok. Of course this would depend on how tall the carb you are going with is.
