budget build for lincoln mark VII
OK so looking for advice for a budget build 460 mark VII street/mostly strip car. Its a newer block (late 80's fuelie) and would like to keep the stock rotating assembly (D6 "football" rods). i got a set of d0ve-A heads, bare castings that have been blasted and check for cracks for 75 each plus ride, and there on their way. plan on porting, and enlarging valves to 2.19 and 1.76. any other machine work needed to heads? (hardened seats, guides ext?) also whats the best inexpensive valves, (needed before machine work) springs, rockers, ext? do i need new pistons? plan on motor being NA and pump gas(for now at least). what about cam, intake (thinking victor) and carb (750cc) ideas? this is my first engine build and not going to lie, i am a little intimidated, but willing to put in the effort and learn. any help is greatly appreciated!
