Ported dove vs stock dove

I have a 521 with stock dove heads. I have a scj intake. If I port my dove heads out to a cj intake and exhaust runners with 219/174 valves. Will it make a conciterible difference or will I waste my time and money. Please help.

how much power does it make now? You would be surprised when the DOVE heads are done well. but it takes the right cam,and intake work as well

Time?????

Like Rich mentioned, you'd be surprised what those DOVE castings are capable of! A wast of time, depends on what your goals are. Be prepared for a LOT of work(grinding) to do what you have mentioned on those castings.............
