502 stroker

This may sound pretty dumb but I can't seem to find any information on this. Can I buy a 4.150 scat crank standard for a 460 to make a 500ish inch engine using stock rods and stock pistons? Will everything clear? I assume the stock rods are 6.605 long. Not sure on wrist pin location to top of piston height (Aftermarket stock style).

You cant use the stock 460 pistons. I think the old Ford racing crate motor used a 4.15 stroke with stock length rods but used an oddball piston that may not be even available anymore or easy to get anyway. If it were me I'd buy a set of Scat or Eagle 6.7 or 6.8 rods and use a common shelf piston.

No, that's not going to work either. Either the piston dome will be to thin or the top ring will be sticking out the bore.

You should repost this topic on the engine tech section.
