WTB Hyd lifters

Where can I buy a good set of Hydraulic lifters? for a cam spec'd dur at .050 221 and .531 lift. Inexspensive of corse!

Don't buy the Cheap One's (Chinese) Just watched a set wipe a guys cam (he was trying to be cheap !!) Spend the extra $40 on a American Made Set and make sure to watch what oil you use.
Just a little adivce from a recent experiance..................Comp Cams, Crane, Lunati are worth the little extra.

Question

How do you know if a cam lobe is wiped? What are the signs/indications.

Excessive lash created by the lobe or lifter wearing out (lobe flattening or Lifter dishing), Poor performance or lack of.....

valve springs

I used to run hydraulic cams and always used Sealed Power part #HT900R lifters. They'll work up to 7000 with no problems if you have good springs. I think you can get them from Oreilly Auto Parts as a special order item. They list the HT900's but they're not a high rev lifter. Chris

At Survival I source lifters from Stanadyne. $45/set

The Sealed Power stuff changed - - they went from American to the Mexican junk a few weeks after I left...jerks...
